2 BudgetEstimationofABC Company Ltd.

 

ABCCompanyLtd.,establishedin1985,isengagedinthemanufacturingofleatheraccessories.Overtheyears,thecompany,whichstartedoutasalocalfirm,hasmadeitsmarkasaninternationalcorporation.However,thecompanyisstillworkingasatraditional set up.

 

Thehighqualityanddurabilityofproductshaveincreasedthedemandoftheproductsinthemarket.Astheproductionoftheorganisationisbeingincreasedtomeet the demand,the traditional setup is creating hurdles inthe productionprocess.

 

Organisation conflictshavearisenamongtheteam membersbecauseof the

Aftercollatingthedata,theconsultantfoundthatthesafetypolicywasdraftedinastandardformatandwasnotinaccordancewiththenatureofjobtheemployeesweredoing.Thesafetypolicyclearlymentionedthatthewetfloorshouldhaveasignageboardwith“Wetfloor,Mindyoursteps”clearlymentionedonit.Therewasnosuchsignageboardintheworkfloor.Thesafetypolicyalsoclearlymentionedthatnoworkershouldbeallowedtoentertheworkplacewithoutthehelmeteveniftheworkerisnotworkingonthemachine.Thereweremanyworkerswhowereworkingwithouthelmetsondangerousmachines.ThesafetyconsultantwithhelpofHR/IRdepartment,projectmanagers,inputsfromtheemployeesdraftedanewcustomisedsafetypolicyanduseddifferentinside-marketingtoolstocommunicatethesameacrossorganisation.Thenewsafetypolicycategoricallymentionedtherewardsandpunishmentsfornotabidingbythesafetynorms.Italsomadethesupervisorsresponsibleforanynonadherencetothesafetynormsbyworkers.Therewasasubsequentdecreaseinthenumberofaccidentsas soon as thenewsafetypolicywasintroduced.
